Erick Thohir learned a lot from Rizal Ramli

JAKARTA -- Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir expressed his deep condolences for the death of the former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Rizal Ramli.
"My condolences for the death of Dr Rizal Ramli," said Erick Thohir via his Instagram account @erickthohir on Wednesday (3/1/2024).
Erick Thohir has not forgotten a number of messages and advice that the late Rizal Ramli once gave him. Erick Thohir admitted that he learned a lot from this senior economist.
"Personally, I would like to express my gratitude for all the messages and advice that the deceased conveyed during his lifetime. I really learned a lot from him," said Erick.
Erick prayed that Allah SWT would accept the deceased by His side and give the family strength. "May Allah accept all the deeds of the deceased and give the family the fortitude and strength of faith," said Erick.
Rizal Ramli, died on Tuesday (2/1/2024) evening at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Central Jakarta. Rizal died at the age of 69 years.
Rizal Ramli, is one of Indonesia's senior economists. His work in government has been around since 2000 when President Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur trusted him to improve the Logistics Affairs Agency (Bulog).
In the era of President Jokowi's administration, in 2015, he was appointed as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Indonesian Resources. However, his position did not last long because in 2016, the president carried out a cabinet reshuffle.
