These conditions must be met to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045
JAKARTA -- Indonesia is determined to become a developed country by 2045 by recording a per capita income of more than 14,000 US dollars. The Indonesian government has created a road map towards this developed country with the name Golden Indonesia by 2045 (Indonesia Emas 2045).
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) revealed that industrialization and downstream industry are the main capital in achieving a Golden Indonesia 2045.
"Industrialization and strengthening downstream industry are the main capital for realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, so that Indonesia becomes a high-income country," said Acting Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.
Amalia said that in order to meet the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045 as stated in the National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2024-2045, the Indonesian Government is focusing on developing a number of sectors, including industrialization and downstream industry.
The government is encouraging economic transformation through several strategies, which include increasing innovation, science and technology, increasing productivity, developing a green economy, and integrating the domestic economy with global needs, as well as developing new city areas as centers of economic growth.
"I am sure that these new methods will contribute to Indonesia's economic growth in the next 20 years," said Amalia.
Based on BPS data, Indonesia's economic growth report in the third quarter of 2023 grew 4.94 percent, lower than the second quarter of 2023, which was 5.17 percent.
Nevertheless, said Amalia, Indonesia's economic growth is considered quite positive amidst the onslaught of global uncertainty due to the geopolitical crisis, starting from the Ukraine-Russia conflict which has not yet subsided to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
