Case allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad occurred in Indonesia

The Lingkar Nusantara (Lisan) Lampung Community reported a case of religious harassment by a stand-up comedian from Lampung Aulia Rakhman to the Lampung Regional Police, Saturday (9/12/2023). According to Lisan, Aulia's material and words in a cafe on Thursday (7/12/2023) were a criminal act of insulting the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
"Today we reported Aulia Rakhman to the Lampung Regional Police regarding her statement containing insults to the name of the Prophet Muhammad SAW," said Lampung Oral Coordinator Muhammad Rifki Gandhi to Republika.co.id, Saturday (9/12/2023).
Rifki said that the statements in Komika Aulia Rakhman's joke material at the 'Desak Anies' event session at Bento Cafe, Sukarame, Bandar Lampung on Thursday (7/12/2023), were considered to have insulted the name of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, who was admired by Muslims in the whole world.
Aulia Rakhman's statement in the material which was joking but insulted the name of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was suspected of being a criminal act as regulated in Article 28 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 a paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and Article 156a of the Criminal Code.
Lisan Lampung hopes that after reporting the comic case to the Lampung Regional Police, the case can immediately be processed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This is intended to prevent acts that insult religion from recurring.

In front of a number of visitors, who were dominated by young people, Aulia explained her comedy material by asking about the name Muhammad.
The video of Aulia Rakhman's statement circulated widely in the mass media, and was responded to by the majority of netizens by insulting the Prophet Muhammad SAW, which should not be discussed in a joking manner. Netizens also attacked the comic's account.
In his appearance, Aulia Rakhman gives an example of her own name, Aulia. According to him, the name Aulia is good for a leader, friend, loved one. However, so far the meaning of the name is not that important.
“Now this is what the name means. Try checking the prison, how many names are there with the name Muhammad. It's as if Muhammad's name is important now, everyone has been imprisoned," said Aulia Rakhman in a stand-up presentation at a cafe in Bandar Lampung, Thursday (7/12/2023).
