President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) celebrates his 62nd birthday today, 21 June 2023. President Jokowi was born on 21 June 1961 in Surakarta, Central Java.
Joko Widodo is the president of Indonesia who took office on October 20 2014. Elected in the 2014 Presidential Election, Jokowi became the first Indonesian president who did not come from the Indonesian political or military elite
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir wished President Joko Widodo a happy 62nd birthday. Erick said Jokowi was not only a visionary leader, but also a leader who always strives for the prosperity of the people.
"Happy 62nd birthday, Mr. President," Erick wrote via his Instagram account @erickthohir on Wednesday (june, 21, 2023).
For Erick, Jokowi is not only a leader, but also a role model teacher for learning. From a Jokowi, Erick admitted that he learned a lot about being a leader, learned to be humble, and even learned to be a good parent.
"Indonesia is fortunate to have a president who makes us proud and confident in our nation's capabilities," said Erick.
Erick said Jokowi deserved great appreciation for his commitment to bringing so many changes in this country.
"Thank you for your dedication and hard work, which has brought Indonesia so far forward. We hope that you will always be given health, strength and courage to carry out this noble task," said Erick.
