Erick Thohir Beats Ridwan Kamil and Agus Yudhoyono: 2024 Vice Presidential Poll

The name of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir has always been nominated as a vice presidential candidate in almost all the polls that have been held. Good and classy performance as the Minister of BUMN has made the Indonesian people like this sports enthusiast figure.
From the recent Matchmaker Poll, Erick Thohir won a landslide victory in the 2024 vice presidential election. Out of more than 5,000 participants in the poll, 2,355 participants chose Erick Thohir to be supported as running mate.
Erick Thohir is far superior to the name of the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, who was only chosen by 800 participants. In third place was the General Chairperson of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who was selected by 277 participants.
The poll, which was initiated by Detik.com, is a program to select figures who are considered suitable as presidential and vice presidential candidates. The poll was held from 1 December 2022 to 9 February 2023 and involved more than 5000 participants.
In addition to recording the cawapres' support, the poll also recorded support for the presidential-cawapres candidate pairs. The Ganjar Pranowo-Erick Thohir pair won the top position by being voted for by 1,400 participants.
This figure surpassed the Anies Baswedan-AHY pair, which won the support of only 200 participants.
This acquisition has opened up opportunities for the former president of the Italian club, Inter Milan, to run for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). Apart from having a number of advantages which are positive values, the name Erick Thohir is a good capital to be made a vice presidential candidate.
Until now, Erick Thohir has not commented on the results of these various surveys. Erick is still busy with his role as Minister of SOEs.
